This is a collection of WebQuests that were reviewed by the student teachers in Spring 2010.
From Alysha Brace: Nutrition - the reviewer felt that it was a good project but not all sources are included; she liked the fact that each step is separate
Fast Foods - colorful, and all links worked well; good ideas but directions could have been clearer
Food Pyramid - fun, upbeat with well-written instructions; some websites are biased sources; directed to younger students
From Amy Guggisberg: Personal Finance - Budgeting - this was highly recommended reviewer thought it was well organized and clearly explained for students
Is Your Future Calling? - creative start to the WebQuest that would draw students into research on careers
From Erica McDougall Fashion and Textile Design- reviewer commented that there was a lot of good information and it is easy to understand for students
The Wonder Years - very organized, strong eye appeal; awesome ideas and rubrics are included; Nicole also liked this but indicated that it did require the use of Inspiration software which some teacher may not have
Nutrition - well organized, uses a KWL chart for the process; Amy U also reviewed this one and felt it was a good research oriented WebQuest
From Nicole Meyer
What is a Family? - interesting topic dealing with learning that families are made up of all kinds of configurations; well done.
World Shopping Spree- neat approach to integrating fashion, prices and exchange rated; students compare prices from different countries; not very indepth.
From Amy Uecker
Food and Nutrition - a very simple site only on a Word document but does allow students to explore nutrients.
Parenting and Childcare- provides options for student to decide on a topic related to parenting; this link will show you other WebQuests by the same FACS teacher, Carolyn Cotton of Oklahoma
